WORKSHOP
TOPIC:
An Introductory Workshop on Multilevel Modeling with SPSS

BIOGRAPHY:
(TO BE UPDATED)

ABSTRACT:
Researchers in educational field often face situations where data are collected from different schools or multiple occasions. Such data is nested or longitudinal: students are nested within schools, or observations are nested within students. Multilevel modeling provides a solution to the problems with this kind of nested data.
In this introductory workshop, I will start from the rationale of multilevel model and a very basic multilevel model. Theory and hands-on exercises using examples are mixed-up such that theoretical explanations can be applied directly into a realistic research situation. For this workshop, I will use the software package SPSS.
